• Welcome by the chairman of the Koninklijk Nederlands Historisch Genootschap (the Royal Dutch Historical Society), prof. Lex Heerma van Voss, and an introduction to the theme of the session: "Water as a factor in History".
• Cultural intermezzo: short movie "REGEN" (Rain) by Joris Ivens (1929) with new music composed by Huub de Vriend (world première)
• Three lectures adressing the theme of the session:
